Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet while getting in touch with nature. The desert surrounds and wildlife create a relaxing atmosphere This peace can sometimes be ruined by coming across other park attendees while in camp. This is where the many smaller Kgalagadi camps, aptly named wilderness camps come into play.

These Kgalagadi camps feature only four chalets, perfect for group travel.

Kieliekrankie Wilderness Camp  is an unfenced camp set on the highest dune in the Kalahari, giving superb views. There is also a waterhole close to camp for animal viewing.

Bitterpan Wilderness Camp is between the Nossob and Aurob Rivers. This camp overlooks a large pan, and is only accessible by 4×4 vehicles.

Gharagab Wilderness Camp I can only be accessed by 4×4 and is situated in the northern part of the park, surrounded by grasslands.

Also in the  northern expanses of the Kgalagadi, you will find Grootkolk Wilderness Camp, famous for the unique black-maned Kalahari lion that is often spotted there.

Urikaruus Wilderness Camp is the final Kgalagardi camp. This camp is knows for its active watering hole which attract animals such as, wildebeest, lion, cheetah, and birds.
